Manfred Markevitch is the Co-Founder and CEO of GemaTEG, where he oversees funding, legal matters, governance, strategy, and talent scouting. Known as the "Chief Pivot Officer," Manfred has spearheaded significant milestones, including winning the 2023 Flywheel Conference and establishing GemaTEG Switzerland Sàrl. With a strong backgound in investment banking and as a CFO, he has raised $20 billion for Fortune 100 companies over two decades. Manfred uses his deep financial services and industrial goods experience to focus on market validation, ensuring our solutions meet the growing demands of AI infrastructure.
Maurizio Miozza, Co-Founder and CCO of GemaTEG, brings three decades of expertise in semiconductor technologies, especially in silicon. His approach integrates business development with engineering, guided by a mantra of Integration. Maurizio leads efforts on CPUs and GPUs, overseeing teams in Italy, Switzerland, and the USA, and fostering key technical and strategic partnerships. His dual role in research and business led to the creation of a groundbreaking TOF detector and drove UmbraGroup's expansion in the US. Renowned for market foresight, Maurizio's leadership focuses on risk management, trust-building, and mindset transformation, turning potential into achievement.
Paul Warburg, Chief Strategy Officer at GemaTEG, has extensive leadership experience in scaling and commercializing businesses across tech-enabled services, industrial sectors, and consumer products. A visionary in business strategy, Paul drives growth through client acquisition and strategic mergers. His decisive implementation of initiatives boosts profitability and operational efficiency. Bruno Lorenzi, Ph.D., Head of Engineering at GemaTEG, holds a PhD in Material Science from the University of Milano Bicocca. After gaining five years of academic experience at renowned institutions such as Stanford University, MIT, and the University of Milano Bicocca, he joined GemaTEG in 2021 as R&D engineer. An expert in thermoelectric and photovoltaic systems, he now leads our engineering team, focusing on developing future solutions like DaTEG to enhance AI Infrastructure. Bruno's leadership is characterized by inspiration and active listening, fostering a culture of openness and structured innovation using the RAIL method. His commitment to pushing technological boundaries while steering GemaTEG's strategic direction in the dynamic market is paramount.
Nathaniel T. "Buster" Brown, a board member at GemaTEG, is a cornerstone of the Seattle business community, bringing decades of experience from established firms to bolster our mission in accelerating AI infrastructure towards a solid and sustainable future. As CFO of Rain City Capital, LLC, and former CFO for Vulcan, Inc., Buster's strategic financial leadership, honed over 9 years at KPMG and underscored by his education from the University of Puget Sound, enriches GemaTEG's direction. His profound commitment to excellence, innovation, and community engagement, combined with his experience in leading Paul G. Youri Markevitch, Director of GemaTEG Switzerland, spearheads our European expansion, focusing on sales and development for AI Infrastructure. He excels in building strategic investor relations and partnerships, boosting our presence in the AI infrastructure sector. Youri's strategy blends marketing, team building, and streamlined operations. He has forged key European relationships, deepened research collaborations, and delved into next-gen technologies like GPUs and Superchips. Dr. John Acocella brings over 40 years of expertise in semiconductor technology and global team leadership. A former IBM Semiconductor Senior Executive, John has led development and implementation projects across China, Japan, India, Europe, and the US. His work spans ASIC design, gaming processors, System CPU design, and manufacturing ramp-ups. Renowned for his practical and strategic insights, John has obtained several key patents and publications, including a patent on radiation-resistant optical glasses. His addition to GemaTEG strengthens our technical capabilities and validates our innovative solutions, driving our mission forward with industry-leading expertise.
